Improve your team’s productivity by lifting their moods with these three simple techniques, as we do at A Life of Being.

I get asked a lot about how to increase business or team performance. To tell you the truth, there is no silver bullet. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. No one thing will improve your business performance. It takes time to build a solid foundation of trust and rapport with each other, which is the basis for successful collaboration. Below are eight ways to implement this culture and reduce stress, increase productivity, and, most importantly, help your team reach its fullest potential.

1: Put less pressure on yourself:

You don't have to be a superhero! We all know that when we put pressure on ourselves, it doesn't work out very well. Your performance suffers when you're putting in extra hours at the office or stressing out about ensuring everything is done perfectly. If you relax and let go of the stress, things flow more efficiently for you and your team. Increase your team performance by removing the pressure from yourself and your team. 2: Increase your focus to prioritize:

When we're all working on different projects and tasks, our focus tends to shift. We start doing things because they need to be done, not because they're essential or relevant. The best way to increase your team's performance is by increasing their focus: determine what needs to be done and why it needs to be done now. Then, prioritize those tasks so that everyone knows which ones are more important than others. 3: Overcome / be more confident in your communication:

We tend to get short with people when stressed. This can cause us to become less effective and make it harder for everyone on your team to work together effectively. To overcome this challenge, practice being more confident in your communication. Focus on the person across from you or the phone instead of yourself; focus on what they're saying and how they're feeling rather than worrying about what they think of you.

4: Save time for people you care about:

We all have people in our lives who are important to us. When you’re stressed out, it can be hard to find time for them. To get through your day and be an effective leader, try setting aside at least 10 minutes each day for your family or friends. Relationships are meaningful because they’re a source of happiness and fulfillment. The more time you spend with the people who mean the most to you, the happier and more successful you’ll be.

5: Find an outlet for stress:

When you’re feeling stressed out, it can be tempting to lock yourself away from the world and binge on Netflix or eat ice cream until you feel better. While these things may temporarily relieve some of your anxiety, they don’t address the underlying issues causing your stress. Instead, try finding ways to relax that don’t isolate you from others.

6: Decrease stress by getting organized:

Stress can be caused by feeling like you’re drowning in a sea of tasks, so it’s essential to make sure you take frequent breaks and stay organized. Be sure to set aside time each day for relaxation and reflection, even if it’s just 15 minutes.

7: Challenge yourself:

Stress can be caused by feeling like you’re stuck in a rut. If you think there’s nothing new to discover, try taking on a new challenge. Whether learning a new skill or traveling somewhere new, breaking out of your comfort zone can help reduce stress. Overall, taking time to relax and reflect is good for your mental health. It can help you reduce stress and improve your overall well-being. Your business and team will benefit from your increased mental clarity, focus, and productivity.

8: Learn to say no:

It’s easy to get caught up in other people’s needs and forget your own. When you feel overwhelmed by the demands on your time, remember that saying “no” is okay—and often necessary to avoid burnout!

If you feel like your stress is getting too much, taking action is essential. You don’t want it to impact your health or performance at work. If you feel overwhelmed by the amount of work ahead (or behind), give yourself some time and space to consider what needs to be done. Taking a break from the situation can help clear your mind so that when you return, you can better understand how best to proceed.

The journey can be lonely at the top, so to help you along the way we created a 9-minute video with our proven system and secrets! Watch this free video today to find out 3 steps to banishing burnout and increasing productivity in the workplace.
